- Program Summary
We treat obesity as a chronic condition and
as such it requires routine care and follow-up.
- The duration of your active treatment phase
as well as frequency of visits will be individualised
based on the type of program selected and
the medical monitoring necessary. The average
active phase for very low calorie programs
are 12 to 16 weeks.
-
As your goal weight approaches, you will
enter a transition period. This phase will
be adjusting from your restricted calorie
diet that is providing weight loss to a
number of calories for maintenance of weight.
-
This period may last between 3 to 5 weeks
or may be more gradual in the meal replacement
program options.
-
The maintenance phase is just as critical
and important as any part leading up to
it. This is where the support and education
of our program can help you. It is difficult
to stay motivated, so we try to utilise
a variety of techniques to help you. Relapse
prevention techniques are offered and ongoing
support.
-
Cost may vary depending on whether your
consultations are with a dietician or Cambridge
Counsellor, time, treatment provided and
the number of appointments required.
