  • Tahira began working at Glenfield hospital in Leicester before moving to work in the Chelsea and Westminster area, including Harley Street in London.
  • Since her return to Derbyshire in 2002 she has worked as a senior specialist dietician, specialising in diabetes, weight management and coronary heart disease.
  • Tahira regularly delivers lectures to doctors, nurses and medical students at hospitals, Universities and national meetings on diabetes, obesity, weight management and healthy lifestyle.
  • She has produced various resources whilst writing articles for magazines and medical journals and is the co-author of the teaching aid 'Global Nutrition' published in 2004.
  • She has been involved in media work including regular live phone-ins and interviews on local and national radio stations, which have included the BBC Asian Network. She has also contributed towards the production of a DVD promoting healthy living, which was recently launched at the House of Commons in March 2006.
  • She has been recognised for achievement in the Marquis 'Who's Who of Medicine and Healthcare'.
  • Tahira is based in Nottingham; she consults once per fortnight from 58 Swan Street, Manchester.
